COI Procedures & Policies

This section is dedicated exclusively to addressing financial conflicts of interest related to research activities at Temple University. It provides resources, guidelines, and policies specific to managing and disclosing financial interests that may influence or appear to influence research integrity and objectivity.

Please note that this page does not cover all conflicts of interest within the university. For information on other types of conflicts of interest, please contact the Temple University Ethics and Compliance office.

COI Disclosure

The COI disclosure includes conflicts of interest and professional time commitments, including consulting, through one mechanism - the Conflict of Interest and Commitment Disclosure Form.

The COI disclosure form is available in the ERA portal and can be found within the 'My Conflict of Interests' section.

Financial Conflict of Interest (FCOI) Training

At Temple University, FCOI training is embedded within the online FCOI disclosure form and is automatically delivered as part of the disclosure process. This applies to investigators involved in PHS-funded research (e.g., NIH) and other sponsors that have adopted the PHS FCOI regulations.

Because the training is built into the disclosure workflow, there is no separate course investigators need to access or complete in advance.

However, for reference purposes, we’ve provided a copy of the FCOI training content below. Investigators may review this material at any time to reinforce their understanding of institutional and federal requirements.

For questions about FCOI requirements or training status, please contact the Conflict of Interest Program at .
