Temple University offers undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to work directly with leading researchers in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math disciplines. The Office of the Vice President for Research is invested in ensuring that all students are kept abreast and up to date of the various research internships and other opportunities offered to students in furtherance of pursuing their education.

Fellowships
 

Temple Materials Institute 
This fellowship will engage students in research projects spanning materials chemistry, physics and engineering in a 10-week residential experience.  Participating fellows will receive a $6,000 stipend, on-campus housing and a travel allowance.  More information can be found here.PathwaysToScience
Paid Summer Research programs.  Most programs offer both a stipend and housing and travel support.  Programs span across all STEM  disciplines. 

Department of Defense (DoD) SMART Scholarship-for-Service Program
The SMART Scholarship-for-Service Program was established as a concentrated effort to enhance the Department of Defense (DoD) workforce with talented, innovative and brilliant scientists, engineers and researchers. For over a decade, SMART Scholars have been working within labs and agencies of the Army, Navy, Air Force and Additional DoD to support the warfighter and create an impact to secure our nationThe SMART Scholarship-for-Service Program was established as a concentrated effort to enhance the Department of Defense (DoD) workforce with talented, innovative and brilliant scientists, engineers and researchers.
