I-Corps at Temple

The National Science Foundation I-Corps program helps researchers and students explore the potential for their discoveries to become products and services that can benefit society.

  • Researchers form teams and attend a 4-session program focused on identifying how their innovation meets customer needs.

  • Teams can include faculty, postdoctoral researchers, graduate students, undergraduates, or even community-based innovators.

  • Teams must have a project, or an idea for a project, that is technology based.

  • Researchers build relationships and gain skills in an inclusive, welcoming environment.

  • Program alumni become part of the I-Corps entrepreneurship ecosystem and have access to resources across the Hub-member institutions.

I-Corps FAQ

Who should apply?

Teams must have two participants and a tech-related project. The project can be anything from an untested idea all the way to a product on the market.

Do I need to have a company formed already?

No. All you need is two people and an idea for an innovation.

What does program participation involve?

Propelus is a hands-on program and team members should attend all four sessions. During the sessions, an instructor will train you on how to complete effective interviews and perform customer discovery. Outside of the sessions, teams will complete a certain number of customer discovery outreach interviews. You will learn how to leverage these insights in your plans to bring your product to market.

Where does the program take place?
