The Research Symposium is Temple University's annual event that highlights the innovative research and scholarly achievements of our faculty, students, and collaborators. This symposium brings together a diverse community of researchers and experts from various disciplines to share groundbreaking findings, engage in thought-provoking discussions, and foster interdisciplinary collaboration. Featuring keynote addresses, panel discussions, lightning talks, and poster presentations, the symposium offers a unique platform to explore the latest advancements across fields such as science, humanities, engineering, and social sciences.
Research Resources Day is an in-person event hosted by the Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR), Temple Libraries, Temple ITS, and the Office of Corporate & Foundation Relations (CFR), designed to introduce and familiarize faculty, staff, and grants administrators to the array of resources available to support research at Temple University.
OVPR offers a series of informative Research Resources webinars throughout the year, designed to support and empower researchers at every stage of their work. These webinars cover a wide range of topics, from data management to latest trends in research tools and technologies. These sessions provide valuable insights and practical guidance to help researchers navigate the complexities of academic research, stay updated on best practices, and enhance productivity.
OVPR hosts virtual Town Halls 1–2 times a year to keep the Temple Research Community informed about key updates, initiatives, and opportunities. These sessions provide a platform to share important information, address questions, and engage in meaningful dialogue with researchers and staff.
OVPR hosts Pop-Up Coffees throughout the year on both Main Campus and the Health Sciences Campus. These informal gatherings offer Temple faculty and staff the chance to connect with OVPR over coffee and pastries in a relaxed, casual setting. Pop-Up Coffees are a great opportunity to network, share ideas, and learn more about the resources and initiatives that support Temple University's research community.
