Promoting a Safe and Respectful Work Environment

Temple University is committed to promoting a research training and work environment that is free from unlawful discrimination and harassment.  In furtherance of its institutional commitment, Temple University’s policies prohibit discrimination based on race, sex, gender, religion, age, sexual orientation, disability, national origin, marital status, pregnancy, gender identity, veteran status, and other legally protected status (all such policies can be found here). In addition, Temple University investigates alleged violations of its applicable policies, takes action when appropriate, provides comprehensive training on discrimination and harassment policies to the Temple community, and provides required notifications to federal officials and departments like the Health and Human Services Office of Civil Rights, in accordance with applicable regulations.

The Office of the Vice President for Research can be reached with any questions or concerns that may arise with respect to research training and work environments, and works collaboratively as appropriate with the other offices at Temple University charged with providing support to the Temple community with respect to these issues.
